Get Ultra-Fast Internet Speeds With

Starlink Internet Installation

Starlink internet is a satellite-based internet service provider that brings high-speed internet to people in rural and remote areas where traditional broadband is slow or nonexistent. The service is a game-changer for these communities, providing them with fast and reliable internet that can help them participate in the digital economy, access education and healthcare services, and connect with friends and family around the world.

One of the biggest advantages of Starlink internet is its speed. Traditional broadband services in rural and remote areas often suffer from slow speeds due to limited infrastructure and distance from the nearest exchange. This can make simple online tasks, such as streaming video, downloading large files, and video conferencing, frustrating and time-consuming. Starlink internet, on the other hand, promises speeds of 100+ Mbps, which is more than enough to handle most online activities with ease. If you’re using smart home devices then we highly recommend investing in your home network installation. This will ensure that your devices are always connected to a strong wifi connection and are able to communicate with each other.

STarlink Install

For this project we were focused on getting our client the best internet connection to his home. Take a look at how we installed Unifi access points throughout the customer’s property. We also  installed Starlink internet and got it to work in passthrough mode to make use of the LAN gear installed.

The Future of Network Connectivity

Benefits of Starlink Internet

Rapid Speeds

Starlink Internet easily achieves speeds of 100+ Mbps for downloads and upload speeds of 8Mbps. This means that whole homes can receive a good signal and run all connected devices at once.

Low Latency

there is minimal delay between when data is sent and received. This is important for activities that require real-time interaction, such as online gaming and video conferencing.

Network Coverage Area

Starlink, on the other hand, is available anywhere in the world as long as there is a clear view of the sky. This means that people living in isolated areas can access high-speed internet that was previously unavailable to them.

Affordability

Traditional broadband services in rural and remote areas can be expensive due to the cost of building and maintaining the necessary infrastructure. Starlink internet on the other hand offers a relatively low cost of entry: you purchase the hardware, then pay a monthly subscription cost of (currently) £75 per month.

No Data Caps

Most of the subscriptions Starlink aren't restricted with Data capping. The Residential, RV, Maritime and Aviation plans offer fully unlimited data plans so you can be sure that there will no loss of speed or services or monthly quotas to worry about.

Starlink FAQs

Since Starlink uses a satellite dish which needs to mounted on the roof, Starlink installation should be carried our by an experienced engineer.

We use the Starlink app to determine the best position for your satellite. Above roof height with non obstructed access (by buildings or trees) works best. Once the dish is mounted the cable is connected to the mast which we can feed discreetly through your home back to the power supply.

This will then be connected to the Starlink router and any smart home devices connected. For more details, see our video, How to install Starlink: Mounting, Cabling and Configuration

Starlink do not provide or recommend installation engineers. The best thing to do is to search for a local engineers. Remember to check their reviews, and any videos they have on YouTube to see their track records, knowledge and expertise. We have a number of videos over on our YouTube channel.

In the UK, Starlink users typically experience download speeds between 25 and 220 Mbps, with a majority of users experiencing speeds over 100 Mbps. Upload speeds are typically between 5 and 20 Mbps. To check overage, availability and speeds in your area please click here

Starlink’s reliability is good with many of our customers reporting very few outages and constantly quick speeds. However, heavy rain has been known to disrupt signal. Snow is another potential problem but luckily they inbuilt heaters to combat this.

The Starlink hardware – otherwise known as the standard kit – are available from £299 for residential customers. The kit includes Starlink (satellite), kickstand, Gen 3 Router, Starlink Cable, AC Cable and Power Supply and Antenna.

Many rural locations across the UK don’t have access to full fibre. Starlink offer faster speeds and lower latency in remote areas by using satellite internet and therefore doesn’t rely on any existing infrastructure. It is more costly than traditional wifi packages, but it’s definitely worth it.
