Unveiling the LTE Antenna Solution
The need for this LTE antenna installation arose when our client experienced frustratingly slow internet speeds due to a subpar phone line, offering a mere three megabytes per second (Mbps) through BT. Recognizing the limitations of traditional solutions, we embarked on a mission to significantly enhance the internet experience within the house.
Elevating Signal Strength with Precision
The first step in this process involved installing an LTE antenna strategically on the property. Positioned at the highest point, we carefully pointed it towards the Vodafone mast, located in the direction of the bridge. By doing so, we aimed to capture a solid 40 to 60 Mbps from the SIM card, providing a reliable and high-speed internet connection.
Crafting a Neat and Effective Setup
Ensuring a clean and efficient installation, we ran an external-grade Cat5e cable discreetly along the soffit and fascia, securing it to the underside for an unobtrusive appearance. The LTE antenna, mounted on a sturdy aluminum bracket, was designed for durability and optimal signal reception.
The Power of High-Grade Cables
To maximize the efficiency of the LTE antenna, we utilized a dual SIM card slot and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature. The latter allowed us to run a longer cable—up to 50 meters of Cat6—ensuring flexibility in antenna placement while maintaining a strong signal.
