Modernising an Electric Underfloor Heating System in Totnes, Devon
This Totnes property had an ageing electric underfloor heating system on a dual-phase Economy 7 and standard tariff setup. The wiring was complex, the controls outdated, and the system wasn’t app-controllable. On top of that, the electrical setup needed assessment for future upgrades like solar panels, battery storage, and an air-source heat pump.
Here’s how Heritage Electrical Automation fixed it. Paul upgraded the heating to a Heatmiser Neo system, making it fully app-controlled and much more efficient. He addressed unsafe wiring, balanced high-load UFH circuits, and installed wireless Heatmiser Neo Air V3 thermostats and RF receivers to control contactors without rewiring. He also conducted load testing and phase analysis, preparing the home for future energy systems and a full rewire.
